Levan Machavariani, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday said that the opposition had been trying to convince their foreign superiors that if they used the leverage of suspending visa-free travel with the European Union, it would create such chaos that they could replace the government through illegitimate means.
In his remarks, Machavariani emphasised that from Georgia’s side, absolutely all the conditions related to visa liberalisation were being fulfilled.
“They are trying to convince their external superiors that if they use this leverage, such chaos will be created in Georgia that they will be able to change the Government through illegitimate means. From Georgia’s side, absolutely all the conditions related to visa liberalization are being fulfilled”, he noted.
