Following a series of failed strategies, the Georgian opposition appears to be changing its approach. According to available information, the opposition is now actively focusing on halting visa liberalisation with the European Union.
Significant funds are reportedly being allocated for this effort, and opposition leaders are holding meetings abroad.
Opposition representatives openly acknowledge that the main topics of these meetings are the suspension of visa-free travel with the EU and the imposition of political sanctions.
“Not long ago, they went abroad on another visit. We are maintaining communication with our Western friends - European Union, American, and British partners. This work has been ongoing throughout this period and will continue in the future”, said Giorgi Baramidze, a member of the opposition United National Movement party.
