Gia Volski, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party and the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, on Friday claimed that European bureaucrats sought to diversify Russia’s aggression toward Georgia.
In his remarks, Volski stated that as long as the Georgian Dream party remained in power, this goal would be unattainable - which, he said, was why “they” needed a puppet government that would follow any instructions.
“This is a new type of European bureaucracy that has emerged recently and is working systematically to gain a certain advantage in this military confrontation, in this war, which is related to Russian aggression. The advantage is determined by the diversification of this aggression towards Georgia. Of course, in this case, if the Georgian Dream government is in power in the country, this goal is unachievable. It is necessary to create a puppet Government that will obey any instructions. This is where all the steps, all the statements stem from”, Volski said.
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Friday responded to Brussels' silence on an attempt to overthrow the Georgian Government in a social media message, saying “for the 13th day, Brussels has not condemned the violent storming of the presidential palace. It's a shame”.
