Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said the ongoing European Political Community Summit was providing an important opportunity to present Georgia’s national interests and vision for advancing its European integration agenda.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze stressed the importance of the format through which he had the opportunity to speak with European leaders.
“Yesterday, during the dinner, we had the opportunity to speak with several leaders, and we naturally discussed our national interests and our vision of how to advance European integration, which is one of the main priorities of our foreign policy”, the PM said.
“We had an interesting exchange of views and ideas with European leaders, and today we will once again actively use this format to discuss our national interests with our European partners”, he continued.
Kobakhidze further added that he would take part in a discussion focusing on the economy and Europe’s economic interests, including connectivity and the potential of critical minerals.
“Within the framework of the 7th EPC conference, I will participate in a discussion on the economy and Europe’s economic interests, including in terms of connectivity and critical minerals. As you know, Georgia has very serious potential in this regard, including as a transit country, and we will be discussing this with our European partners”, the PM concluded.
