Speaking to journalists about the achievements of 13 years of the Georgian Dream governance, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze on Wednesday emphasised the importance of peace and stability in the country despite serious external threats.
In his remarks, Kaladze reflected on the journey Georgia has undergone since 2012 by stressing that “we have walked on a knife’s edge - faced with numerous challenges and problems”.
“After 13 years, there is a lot to be proud of—we are proud that we have peace, despite the fact that the country is being fought by an enemy that must be reckoned with, and I have in mind the global war party”, Kaladze said.
“We have walked on a knife’s edge - faced with numerous challenges and problems. Yet, despite all of this, through firm and pragmatic policies, we have preserved peace and ensured economic growth. Whether people like to talk about it or not, the reality is that the country is developing, moving forward, and the wellbeing of our citizens is improving. This is an irreversible process”, he concluded.
