Irakli Kadagishvili, the Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Tuesday commented on the results of nationwide public opinion poll, commissioned by Imedi TV and conducted by the research company Georgian Opinion Research Business International (GORBI), noting that Georgian Dream’s responsible approach to the country’s security, peace, development, and citizens’ fundamental interests was reflected in the survey.
In his remarks, Kadagishvili highlighted that the survey showed that while the opposition had taken a destructive path after the 2024 elections, the Georgian Dream acted responsibly toward the country’s security, peace, development, and citizens’ interests.
“This is a reflection of the political process that unfolded after the 2024 parliamentary elections, when the opposition rejected the voters’ voices, threw away their mandates, and shifted to complete destructiveness. On the other hand, the Georgian Dream acted with great responsibility toward the country’s security, peace, development, and the fundamental interests of citizens. This was reflected in this survey and not only in this one”, the official said.
The survey asked citizens across Georgia: “if the local self-government elections were held this week, which of the following parties and coalitions would you vote for?”
The results, distributed across the country, are as follows:
- Georgian Dream - 66.4%
- Strong Georgia - Lelo 10.3%
- Girchi - 9.3%
- Gakharia For Georgia - 8.7%
- Alliance of Patriots of Georgia - 2.2%
- All other parties (cumulative) - 3.1%
