Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said his Government’s ambitious goal of placing the country among the top three in Europe in terms of low corruption was entirely realistic, given the measures already taken and those currently being implemented.
Speaking to journalists, the Prime Minister emphasised that the fight against corruption continues across all areas, including the investigation of relevant cases.
“IIn addition to introducing changes in the work of the Government and state institutions, we are also taking steps to investigate every possible violation. The active fight against corruption will continue in every direction”, Kobakhidze said.
“Let me remind you of our ambitious goal: we want to rank among Europe’s top three countries in terms of low corruption. Considering the steps already taken and those underway, I believe achieving this goal is absolutely realistic”, he concluded.
