Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said a revolution orchestrated by foreign agent network would not happen in Georgia, adding that his Government has all the necessary resources to prevent it.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze claimed that foreign special services were funding the protests.
He further warned that Georgian authorities would not allow a scenario similar to Ukraine’s Maidan revolution, which he claims was funded by foreign special services.
“This is all financed by foreign special services, just like in the case of Maidan. You remember that special services financed Maidan, and you also remember how it all continued for Ukraine - today, the Ukrainian state has collapsed and has gone through two wars, precisely after the revolutions funded by foreign special services. Of course, we cannot allow this scenario to be implemented. There are no resources for this in Georgia, which is why it's very important that we expose every instance of such funding and foreign interference”, the Prime Minister said.
