Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday called on the public and political actors to exercise caution in their rhetoric, warning that the state would respond firmly to any violation of the law.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze argued that some individuals had become accustomed to speaking against the state without consequences, but today such actions would be met with strict enforcement.
“We won’t allow anyone to do that. As I mentioned, regarding corruption, organised crime, drug-related crimes, and politically motivated crimes, we have far greater capabilities today to enforce the law with full rigor”, Kobakhidze said.
The Prime Minister stressed that protecting the state’s interests requires vigilance and responsibility in public discourse.
“Therefore, I urge everyone to control their rhetoric to the maximum. No one can violate the law so easily. Wherever we see a violation of the law, including at the level of rhetoric, there will be an appropriate response”, he concluded.
