Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday said that all relevant state agencies would remain “fully vigilant” to ensure that “no one is allowed to radicalise processes” in the country through non-transparent foreign funding.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that every attempt to stir radicalism was linked to foreign intelligence services, which “requires special attention”.
“All relevant state agencies will remain fully alert and attentive so that we do not give anyone the opportunity to radicalise processes in our country through foreign non-transparent funding”, the PM said.
“As you can see, people’s souls and faces are being distorted, and this is a very serious problem. Foreign intelligence services are involved in directing people in Georgia along the wrong paths. You have seen Georgian liberals, and you can compare them, for example, to American liberals - they are exactly the same faces, characterised by the same features, and they have lost their essence. This is very unfortunate, and we must do everything to resist the spread of pseudo-liberalism in our country”, Kobakhidze concluded.
