Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Friday condemned the reactions of some Georgian opposition activists to the killing of American conservative blogger and outspoken Trump supporter Charlie Kirk.
“Unfortunately, in Georgia as well there were many representatives of liberal fascism who wrote unthinkable posts and made statements yesterday”, Kaladze said.
The ruling party official further stressed that no one should ever rejoice at a person’s death, regardless of political differences.
“How can someone be glad about the death of a person? It doesn’t matter what political views they held, even if they were an enemy. It is unimaginable to write such things about a deceased person, as we saw yesterday”, he concluded.
