Georgian pundit David Chikhelidze on Thursday assessed the assassination of American conservative leader Charlie Kirk as not a random episode and a crime committed against one person, but the result of a political system where liberal ideology made aggression and hatred the norm.
In his remarks, Chikhelidze noted that the liberal agenda was spreading globally and everywhere it brought the same results: the polarisation of public, the growth of hatred, and the deliberate discrediting of conservative values.
He further added that this day being a conservative meant being at risk.
“The assasination of Charlie Kirk is not a random episode or a crime committed against a single person, it is the result of a political system where liberal ideology has made aggression and hatred the norm.
Today, being a conservative means being at risk. Suffice it to say that you want to protect traditions, family, or faith, and you automatically become a target. This is precisely the reality where dissent is persecuted and the suppression of dissent is disguised in the name of progress”, Chikhelidze said.
“Democrats, whose policies incite discord and destroy traditions, have gradually turned into a party that tolerates and sometimes participates in violence. This trend does not only apply to the United States - the liberal agenda is spreading globally and everywhere brings the same result: the polarisation of the public, the growth of hatred, and the deliberate discrediting of conservative values. The assasination of Charlie Kirk became the face of these processes - a tragic symbol of how liberal politics kills not only people, but also free thought”, he concluded.
