Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said that his Government’s specific goal was to reboot its relations with the United States from a clean slate, “guided by a specific roadmap”.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that the MEGOBARI Act had ultimately failed, which he described as a “very positive outcome”.
“As it turns out, the so-called MEGOBARI Act, which in reality was a hostile act against the Georgian people, our state, and our national interests, has ultimately failed, and this is very good”, he pointed out.
“Our goal is to reboot relations with the US from a clean slate, guided by a concrete roadmap, and renew the strategic partnership. We hope for this, but the rest depends on the new US administration”, the PM concluded.
