Georgian radical opposition’s reaction to Charlie Kirk’s assassination: “Who cares”
Politics

The assassination of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk has elicited mixed reactions from certain circles within the Georgian radical opposition.
Some radical activists openly expressed joy over the tragic incident. For example, Natia Chkuaseli wrote: “They hit this MAGA 'kotsi' [pejorative reference used by radicals to refer to supporters of the ruling Georgian Dream party] right in the artery”. A similar sentiment was shared in a comment by the opposition Akhali party member Zurab Parjiani: “Don't cry too much”. Saba Brachveli's position was formulated as follows: “So many people are dying, why feel sorry for this one?”
Ani Karkashadze's position was different yet ambiguous. She condemned the assassination but added that due to Kirk's “repulsive politics”, his death was not something to be mourned.
“Murder is generally condemnable and unacceptable, but he was pushing such repulsive politics, what can I do, forgive me, but who cares”, Karkashadze said.
