Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Wednesday rallied supporters at the opening of the election headquarters for Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze, emphasising unity and determination to advance Georgia’s development.
In his remarks, Papuashvili called on supporters to mobilise and vote in large numbers, framing the election as a pivotal moment to secure peace and progress for Georgia.
“I am delighted that all the supporters gathered here today are united by one energy - an energy aimed at advancing our country and each of its municipalities, improving the well-being of our population, and beautifying our cities and villages so that every citizen can take joy in the environment they live in and feel the benefits of our country’s development”, Papuashvili said.
With the local self-government elections approaching in one month, the Speaker highlighted the campaign’s critical phase.
“With one month left until the elections, the campaign is entering its decisive phase, and I am confident that our supporters will become increasingly energetic in ensuring, as the Prime Minister said, that we break all records. Everyone should come out to the polling stations and, with the experience of these past years and the struggles we have gone through, finally resolve the knot that will lead our country to peace through the support they will express at the local self-government elections”, he concluded.
