Mamuka Mdinaradze, the newly appointed Head of Georgia’s State Security Service, on Wednesday extended his gratitude to the Georgian Government and Parliament for their trust.
In his remarks, Mdinaradze underscored the State Security Service’s importance in supporting Georgia’s efforts to secure a prominent position on the global stage.
“Our country is successfully striving to secure its unique place on the world map. If our service does not take its proper place in this effort, it may be in vain”, Mdinaradze said.
He emphasised that the collective goals championed by Georgia’s leadership, including Bidzina Ivanishvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, required robust reinforcement, with the State Security Service playing a pivotal role.
“What Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, and others - today’s leadership of this country - and all of us together, are trying to achieve, requires reinforcement. And in this reinforcement, no agency or service has a role as significant as the State Security Service, and I will rely on each and every one of you in this”, he concluded.
