Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Monday declared his readiness to fully support the Georgian Government’s stated goal of restoring the country’s strategic partnership with the United States.
In an open letter addressed to US President Donald Trump, Kavelashvili emphasised that the renewed relationship should begin “with a clean slate and a concrete roadmap”.
“Personally, as the President of Georgia, I am ready to do everything possible to realise the stated goal of the Georgian Government - to restore the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States from scratch and on the basis of a specific roadmap”, the Georgian President said.
“A prerequisite for achieving this goal is the formation of a fair and respectful attitude of your administration towards the Georgian state and the Georgian people”, he noted.
