Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday described the domestic radical opposition as “extremely weakened” and lacking firmness in their decisions, leading to inconsistent actions and statements.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze attributed the opposition’s instability to its leadership, which he claimed was dominated by inexperienced and uneducated young individuals.
“The radical opposition is extremely weakened today, and precisely because of this, they are not firm in their decisions. Sometimes they say one thing, sometimes another, and then do a third thing. This is a manifestation of weakness”, Kobakhidze said.
The PM viewed their choice of candidates as further evidence of this weakness, expressing optimism about the current political landscape, suggesting that the opposition’s disarray benefits Georgia’s development.
“As for naming a specific candidate, this is also a manifestation of weakness. In reality, you can see that the radical opposition is in the hands of youngsters who are not particularly distinguished by education, experience, or anything else. This is very good. Processes are developing in the right direction”, he concluded.
