Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said his Government was seeking to renew strategic partnership with the United States “from a clean slate”.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that the Georgian Government wanted to renew strategic partnership with a specific guide that reflected the benefits for both countries.
“We sent [the United States President] Donald Trump both open and private letters, and there was a common spirit in these letters, which means that we want to renew the strategic partnership with the United States from a clean slate, we want to renew the strategic partnership with a specific guide”, the Prime Minister said.
“This strategic partnership should reflect the benefits for both countries, both for the United States and for Georgia. We hope there will be a healthy approach, and that the strategic partnership will be renewed in a sound form. This is our desire, and we await the response from the American side”, he concluded.
