Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Wednesday expressed confidence in the long-term prospects for peace and stability in the South Caucasus, citing shared values with friendly nations.
In his remarks, Kavelashvili highlighted the immense potential of the region, particularly through initiatives like the Middle Corridor, a vital trade route connecting Asia and Europe.
“We have safeguarded peace, family values, and national interests, and the governments of friendly countries share the same approach. This gives me firm assurance that, in the long term, there will be peace and stability”, Kavelashvili said.
“Everyone can see the opportunities that this Middle Corridor has significant potential. I am hopeful that this will become one of the most attractive regions. Everyone - strategic partners, friendly countries - should know that conflict is impossible here because these countries deeply trust each other. If anyone seeks investment, they can succeed in this region. We must create such an oasis where policies are built around the interests of all people”, he concluded.
