Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Wednesday emphasised the immense potential of the South Caucasus region, attributing its prospects to political stability and principled policies.
In his remarks, Kavelashvili underscored a collaborative approach to regional development, rejecting competitive weakening in favour of mutual strength.
“Everyone clearly sees that this region has tremendous opportunities. This political stability, of course, leads to economic prosperity and the well-being of the people. We all see this, and it has been brought about by the principled, national interest-based policies pursued by these countries”, Kavelashvili said.
Reflecting on his discussions with Turkish leaders, the President described the talks as sincere and productive.
“There seems to be an opinion that you should weaken your competitors. Of course, economic interests are significant, but it becomes clear here that we are not interested in weakening our neighbouring country - on the contrary, it is of great importance to me that my neighbouring country is strong. These are the ideas we exchanged, and we are very united in this. It was a sincere conversation, and it gives me hope that our relations will expand even further”, he concluded.
