Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said his Government was responsible for the successful implementation of the non-recognition policy for the Russian-occupied territories, adding that their goal was not just to prevent further recognitions but to reduce the number that already exists.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that during the governance of the former United National Movement Government, there had been four recognitions of the occupied territories, and this figure had remained unchanged since 2012.
“First and foremost, we are responsible for the successful implementation of the non-recognition policy. [...] We are doing everything possible not only to prevent an increase, but to reduce the number of recognitions”, he concluded.
