Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday dismissed threats by the domestic opposition to “overthrow the Government”, asserting the strength and resilience of the state and its institutions.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that such threats had been recurring since 2016 but lacked credibility or impact in Georgian society.
“Since 2016, we have continuously heard such threats, but you can see that the state and its institutions, including our law enforcement agencies, are strong. Now, these threats have no force whatsoever, let alone any outline for their execution. They can voice any threats they want, but these individuals themselves are not serious, and their threats are equally unserious for Georgian society”, the PM said.
