Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said his Government was “ready for all steps, except those related to disturbing peace and stability in Georgia”.
He made the remarks during a briefing at the ruling Georgian Dream party’s office, responding to a journalist's question about the Government's plans to avert issues such as the suspension of visa liberalisation, involvement in war, or a change of Government.
The Prime Minister emphasised that the Georgian Dream team would “do everything to ensure the continued development of the country in all directions”, adding that “this is our responsibility to society, and naturally, we will act with this responsibility”.
Kobakhidze also addressed the conditions being set by “European bureaucracy” towards the Georgian Government, claiming that “practically all these conditions are related to disturbing peace and stability in Georgia”.
He urged the public to assess why “European bureaucracy needs to disturb peace and stability in Georgia”.
“You see that the European bureaucracy is directly supporting processes related to inciting hatred and radical processes in the country. The main thing is that society should not lose its sobriety and caution and should observe every action it sees with maximum attention. This is the main thing”, he noted.
“From our side, everything will be done to ensure the continued development of the country in all directions. This is our responsibility to society, and naturally, we will act with this responsibility”, Kobakhidze concluded.
