Levan Makhashvili, the Chair of the Committee on European Integration of the Georgian Parliament, on Wednesday said the Georgian Government was fully ready for a “mutually beneficial and fair dialogue” with both the European Commission and its member states.
Makhashvili’s comments come in response to the recent meeting of EU foreign ministers, where they failed to reach an agreement regarding Georgia.
The official addressed what he described as “numerous manipulations” concerning potential sanctions against Georgia.
“We've heard a lot of manipulation, talks about imposing sanctions, and that all possible options are on the table. Let them be on the table. They talk, and the meeting usually remains cheerful, because these issues are mostly subjects of political manipulation, nothing else”, Makhashvili said.
