Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday said that certain foreign officials could not accept the fact that the Georgian people had expressed trust in his Government’s peace policy.
In his interview with Imedi TV, Kobakhidze highlighted the direct foreign interference in Georgia’s democratic elections, however, adding that “this brought no result - nor will the post-election policy of blackmail succeed”.
“Certain officials cannot accept that the Georgian people clearly expressed their will in the parliamentary elections and chose to place their trust in the Government and its policy of peace”, the PM noted.
“There was a campaign against the Government and the ruling team even before the elections. Some foreign officials cannot come to terms with the Georgian people’s clear will. Still, neither the pre-election campaign nor the post-election blackmail will have any effect”, he concluded.
