Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday delivered sharp criticism of the opposition's recent mobilisation efforts, asserting their failure to gather significant public support.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze claimed that despite the involvement of “four parties, 40 NGOs, the entire deep state, and funding from European bureaucracy”, the opposition managed to bring out “no more than 2 000 Georgian people”.
“The entire radical opposition completely destroyed itself”, the Prime Minister said.
Kobakhidze went on to express confidence in the country's trajectory, suggesting that the radical opposition's self-destruction was paving the way for national development.
“Everything is going very well; the radical opposition is destroying itself even further, the country's economy is developing, the country is developing in all directions, and this development, of course, must continue”, he concluded.
