Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday underlined the importance of unity and collective action in safeguarding Georgia’s independence and sovereignty during his concluding remarks in Parliament.
In his speech, Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to the Members of Parliament for the continued trust and support shown towards the Government both a year and a half ago and again six months ago following the parliamentary elections.
“Everything we presented before you today is based precisely on the trust that the Georgian Parliament has expressed in the Georgian Government”, Kobakhidze said.
The Head of Government noted that the unity, cooperation, and shared decisions of the ruling Georgian Dream party had played a vital role in securing Georgia’s independence and sovereignty, which, he emphasised, had reached unprecedented levels in recent history.
“I thank you for the fact that we are all working together for a common cause – protecting our country’s national interests. It is precisely this team’s unity, standing together, and collective decisions that have ensured that today our country takes pride in its independence and sovereignty, as never before. Of course, our desire is for everyone to continue working together to ensure our country’s progress and development. We have great tasks ahead, and with our unity, we will undoubtedly achieve every goal. Once again, my deepest gratitude for your trust, support, and attention today!” Kobakhidze concluded.
