During his annual address to Parliament, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday extended his gratitude to Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, attributing the country's major accomplishments to his leadership and vision.
In his address, Kobakhidze credited Ivanishvili with all the achievements that the country had secured, from maintaining peace and stability to developing the economy.
“I would like to once again express my gratitude to Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili from this podium. We’ve discussed concrete achievements - maintaining peace and stability, economic development, progress in various sectors - and all of these are the result of Mr. Ivanishvili’s personal contribution. In 2012, he fundamentally changed the government’s approach toward its own country and people”, the Prime Minister said.
He further stressed that Ivanishvili's influence marked a turning point in Georgia's governance, turning it into a state that cares for its citizens and upholds national interests.
