Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Monday labeled Paweł Herczyński, the EU Ambassador to Georgia, a “tragic figure”, claiming he was not being allowed to perform his duties as an ambassador.
In his remarks, Kobkhaidze noted that Georgia remained in a one-sided friendship mode with Herczyński, and this mode would continue.
“Herczyński is a tragic figure, he is not being allowed to work as an ambassador. This is my clear assessment. He was forced to interfere in democratic elections in Georgia when he openly expressed his position to the public”, the PM said.
“He called on the public to go to the polling stations and vote against the current Government. He is a tragic figure - this person is not being allowed to work as an ambassador. We remain in a one-sided friendship mode with Mr. Herczyński, and this mode will continue”, he concluded.
