Givi Mikanadze, the Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs, on Friday denied recent media claims that Georgia’s participation in the 2025 Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly was restricted due to an opposition boycott.
The report, published by the domestic opposition-leaning media outlet Tabula, alleged that Georgia’s delegation faced limitations at the event, which was held last week in Dayton.
Mikanadze strongly rejected the claim, labelling it “disinformation”.
He emphasised that Georgia’s cooperation with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly remained active, and that the delegation’s presence in Dayton was both substantive and effective.
