Givi Mikanadze, the Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs, on Sunday announced that the Georgian delegation would meet with the Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on May 26 to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Speaking live from Dayton, Ohio, where the 2025 NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session is underway, Mikanadze highlighted the importance of the delegation’s participation in reinforcing ties with NATO and reaffirming Georgia’s strategic priorities.
“All of our partners unanimously emphasise that Georgia was, is, and will remain, a very valuable and important partner for NATO. Everyone clearly and unanimously expresses support for Georgia, recognising its territorial integrity and sovereignty - which, of course, is one of the key goals of our delegation’s participation in this event”, he said.
Mikanadze emphasised that the upcoming meeting with the NATO PA Secretary General aims to explore new avenues for enhancing cooperation.
“Tomorrow, we will meet with the Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to discuss ways to further strengthen our bilateral cooperation. All these meetings serve both to advance cooperation to a new level and to share accurate, first-hand information about the ongoing processes in Georgia”, the official concluded.
