Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Thursday said the Government’s attitude towards the European Union was sincere and open, if there was a healthy process and discussion of specific issues.
In response to the journalist's question regarding current relations between Georgia and the European Union, Kavelashvili noted that instead of healthy relations there were speculations from Europe's side.
“Our attitude towards the European Union is sincere and open. We are open if there is a healthy process between us and a discussion on specific issues. We are ready for this”, the President said.
“But it is speculation when they tell you on the one hand to cooperate and at the same time they stage revolutions for us. It is simple that the foreign minister of another country, or anyone else, should not interfere in the election process of another country”, he concluded.
