Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday accused the domestic opposition parties of being under the influence of what he referred to as the deep state.
Kobakhidze commented on the state of the opposition, suggesting that although minor internal competition exists, all opposition parties ultimately act according to instructions from the deep state.
“The opposition can do whatever it wants. We will win in all 64 municipalities - both mayoral and city council elections. It doesn't matter at all how they fight each other. They have minor internal competition, but in the end, they will all do what the deep state tells them to do. If the deep state gives the order, all four parties will line up and participate in the [local] elections. None of this matters to us”, the PM said.
