Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday said the preparations for the upcoming local elections scheduled for October would start in the near future, with all levels of the party structure involved in the process.
In his remarks, Mdinaradze noted that the goal of the ruling party was to win both mayor and council elections in all 64 municipalities across the country.
He further noted that domestic opposition was doomed to lose in the local elections.
“Let's win convincingly, for which we will start preparations in the near future. We promise the public that the Georgian Dream [party] will obtain its tenth consecutive convincing victory. There is still time. I don't know what decision our opponents will make, but in any case, they are doomed to lose, because agent-driven parties can no longer win elections in Georgia”, Mdinaradze said.
