Georgian President attends Pope Francis' funeral ceremony at Vatican

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Saturday attended the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis held at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, alongside world leaders and dignitaries.

The Georgian delegation included the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Metropolitan Gerasime, and Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze.

In a social media message, Kavelashvili stressed that the passing of Pope Francis was a profound loss for the entire Christian world.
