Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday underscored Georgia’s commitment to peace both domestically and regionally, stating that “anyone who objectively assesses events clearly sees what is happening around Georgia”.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze expressed special appreciation to Azerbaijanii President Ilham Aliyev, noting that Georgia’s neighbours understand the regional dynamics and recognise Georgia’s stabilising role.
“Today, during the bilateral meeting, I personally thanked President Aliyev for his supportive statements. For anyone who objectively observes and assesses events, it is clear what is happening around Georgia. It is also clear that we are focused on ensuring peace - not only in Georgia but also in our surrounding region. You know well what a positive role Georgia plays in ensuring peace across the South Caucasus and our wider region”, the PM said.
Kobakhidze also emphasised a shared vision amongst friendly states - peace, development, and prosperity - and called on all countries to adopt similar values.
“This is our shared vision - focused on peace, development, and prosperity. I believe every state should be guided by these principles. Unfortunately, in today’s modern world, the approaches are different. We have high hopes that once the war in Ukraine ends, approaches will change immediately. This is necessary for politics to develop in the right direction globally”, Kobakhidze concluded.
