Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday emphasised the importance of unity and love within society, stressing that no one would be allowed to artificially divide the Georgian people through the incitement of hatred.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that external forces were completely depleted of energy and they were trying to use a specific provocation to gain additional momentum.
“We could not follow that path. We could not play into their scenario. Most importantly, we must safeguard unity within society and avoid any actions that could provide external forces with the chance to artificially fracture our people. Therefore, we believe the decision we made is not only pragmatic but primarily in line with the interests of our society”, the PM said.
“We must do everything to prevent external forces from artificially dividing the public, and on the contrary, we must do everything to unite the public without love. Public should be united by love, we will not allow anyone to artificially divide us by inciting hatred”, he concluded.
