The State Security Service of Georgia has a new leader. Parliament members have expressed their confidence in Anri Okhanashvili, who has been appointed as the Head of the agency.
The parliamentary vote took place earlier today, solidifying Okhanashvili’s position in the role.
Prior to this, the Parliament of Georgia officially acknowledged the voluntary resignation of the former head of the State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili, effectively terminating his authority before the end of his term.
Following his resignation, Grigol Liluashvili is set to take on a new role as the Minister of Regional Development.
