Givi Mikanadze, the Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs, on Saturday strongly criticised the Baltic states, accusing them of “incredibly rude interference” in Georgia's internal affairs.
Mikanadze's remarks came while commenting on the recent visits of Salome Zourabichvili, a McCain Institute fellow, to the Baltic countries.
“Every statement they make, their unfair and double-standard approach toward Georgia, serves only one purpose - to somehow drag Georgia into the processes aimed at opening a second front [amid the ongoing war in Ukraine], shifting the focus onto Georgia while avoiding threats to their own countries”, the Parliament official said.
“Consequently, this situation makes them critical, unfair, and we see that there is incredibly rude interference from their side in Georgia's internal affairs”, Mikanadze concluded.
