Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday said the policies pursued by the Georgian Dream Government have successfully maintained peace, which in turn has driven the country's economic development and led to an annual increase in the state budget.
Responding to a question about how the Government would compensate for suspension of financial aid from the West, Kaladze asserted that the Government would provide an adequate response to any challenges facing the country.
“Fortunately, with the policies pursued by the Georgian Dream party, we have managed to maintain peace, and peace has led to the country's economic development. The budget is increasing every year. This naturally brings prosperity, businesses are expanding, and the budget is increasing. You can check the statistics and data to confirm this”, the ruling party official said.
“You can find the statistics and data to support this. We can also look at the projected economic growth rates for the coming years. Accordingly, we will not deprive the population of anything. We will implement all planned projects and bring them to completion”, he continued.
Kaladze also addressed concerns about potential budget cuts to the military, stating that “we will not deprive our soldiers of anything. For us, the main priority is maintaining peace and the country's economic development. All existing challenges and problems will be resolved, and specific steps will be taken to ensure the implementation of vital projects”.
