Givi Mikanadze, the Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science and Youth Affairs, on Friday highlighted rebooting relations with the United States as a “top priority” for Georgia's foreign policy.
In his remarks, Mikanadze expressed optimism that a reboot would occur “swiftly” once the US President and his administration defeat the deep state.
“We see a convergence of values in relation to positions on specific important issues. At the same time, we remain cautious and extend our best wishes to President Trump and his administration in the fight he has prioritised - defeating the deep state”, the Parliament official said.
“I am confident that once he succeeds in this fight, the reboot of US-Georgia relations will happen instantly and effortlessly”, Mikanadze concluded.
