Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Thursday said the Georgian Government was ready to normalise relations with the United States.
In his remarks, Kaladze hoped that the United States President Donald Trump would fulfill his pledge and succeed in defeating the deep state.
“The Georgian Government is ready to normalise relations with the United States. We are monitoring the ongoing processes every day. The newly elected United States President has directly declared war on the deep state and his main task is to defeat the deep state. We have been talking about the Global War Party for a long time, about their interests, and about the fact that they have very deep roots in Georgia and have interests in various countries of the world”, the ruling party official said.
“Accordingly, the deep state must be defeated first. We will notice this immediately. Of course, this will affect our country, [US] relations with our country. The Georgian Government is ready for friendship. We wish the United States President success in this struggle and hope that he will fulfill the pledge he made regarding the defeat of the deep state to the end”, he concluded.
