Parliament official claims “deep state” has been seeking for years to install “completely submissive” Gov’t in Georgia

Gia Volski, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party and the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, on Tuesday claimed the deep state had been seeking for years to overthrow the Georgian Government and install a submissive leadership that would unconditionally serve external interests.

“The deep state has persistently tried to change the Government in Georgia and bring in a completely obedient leadership - one that, figuratively speaking, would stand on one leg and follow orders blindly”, Volski stated.

He emphasised Georgia’s crucial role as a transit hub and strategic player in the region.

“Georgia holds significant importance due to its transit resources and potential. What do we need - irreversible collapse, economic devastation, or peace? We are striving for the latter, to ensure that we reach stability”, he concluded
