Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said there was no evidence or facts to support allegations of election fraud in the country, in reference to the parliamentary elections held last October.
In his remarks over the matter, Kobakhidze noted that the Prosecutor’s Office had been requesting evidence throughout the investigation, yet no facts or evidence had been provided, which he said “speaks volumes”.
“Everything else is speculation, and there is always room for speculation, as it does not require specific reasons, especially when it comes to the radical opposition”, he noted.
“However, in reality, everyone sees that there is no basis for discussing fraud”, the PM concluded.
