Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Wednesday said significant global processes were unfolding, and the country had secured its place in these processes by maintaining a high level of independence.
In his remarks, Mdinaradze noted that the Government had correctly identified the country’s main priority - ensuring that “no decision about Georgia could ever be made without the Georgian people and public”.
“Major decisions in global politics aren’t made at the level of rumors, despite what our opponents often claim”, the ruling party official said.
The official further highlighted that Georgia’s survival hinged on strengthening its independence and sovereignty to the point where no decision in major international negotiations could be made without the country’s involvement.
Mdinaradze also addressed challenges facing European bureaucracy, the European Union, and Europe as a whole. He pointed out recent discussions suggesting that Ukraine should be included in decision-making processes regarding the ongoing war.
“They are now considering whether Ukraine should participate in decisions that directly affect Ukraine. This issue has only now surfaced. How long have we been saying that decisions about Georgia cannot be made without Georgians? You can call it luck, or say we got it right, but in reality, we correctly identified our top priority: ensuring the survival, well-being, and development of this country. Above all, that means making sure no one can ever decide Georgia’s fate without the Georgian people”, he concluded.
