Gia Volski, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party and the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, on Wednesday commented on the US President Donald Trump’s recent statement, asserting that the war in Ukraine could have been avoided. Volski emphasised that Georgia, despite being a country with limited resources, dared to challenge global trends and the deep state, facing continuous attacks for speaking the truth.
In his remarks, Volski highlighted that even the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had acknowledged that there was a possibility to prevent the war. However, according to Volski, instructions were given to act otherwise, and those instructions were followed.
“It is a fact that the Government of a country with limited resources dared to confront the trend, the deep state, the numerous attacks that continue to this day, and said what needed to be said - the reality that the public should know. We should thank our public for its intelligence, for its correct position”, Volski said.
Volski further added that the only one who did not understand the said information was the domestic radical opposition.
