Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday said the upcoming European Parliament’s resolution regarding Georgia was holding no significance due to its unjust nature and content.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that the European Parliament had adopted five resolutions on Georgia to date, all of which he described as “unserious”.
“Of course, this draft resolution, like the previous ones, holds absolutely no value for us because these resolutions do not reflect the reality in our country. The reality is that Georgia is governed democratically, while the opposition is inherently anti-democratic. However, as you can see, the European Parliament’s resolutions often express support for the radical opposition, radicalism, and everything that the new US administration is now clearly criticising. Taking all of this into account, the European Parliament’s resolution holds no value for us due to its unfair nature and content”, the PM said.
