Georgia’s ruling party official credits party, its founder with being only guarantee of national stability

Levan Machavariani, the First Deputy Chair of the Georgian Dream parliamentary faction, said on Saturday that the only guarantee of peace and stability in the country is the ruling Georgian Dream party, led by Bidzina Ivanishvili, its founder and Honorary Chair.

Speaking on the Imedi TV talk show Open Air - Debates, Machavariani urged political opponents to be more thoughtful in their remarks about the electorate and to acknowledge the public’s support for the government’s policies.

“Speak more thoughtfully about Georgian voters”, Machavariani said, noting that there are more than 1,120,000 voters. He added that “our patriotic Georgians understand very well that the only guarantee of peace and stability in our country is the Georgian Dream under the leadership of Bidzina Ivanishvili”.
