Nino Tsilosani, the Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, on Wednesday responded to a report by Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevičienė, saying Lithuanian politician’s activities were related only to initiating resolutions against Georgia.
Juknevičienė urged sanctions against the ruling Georgian Dream party and several media outlets.
“Rasa Juknevičienė is a Lithuanian politician whose activities are related only to initiating anti-Georgia resolutions and protecting aggressive activists such as Laka Khoshtaria, etc. But let’s not forget that these resolutions are aimed at making Georgia a war agenda, which the lady herself confirms”, Tsilosani said.
“To achieve the primary goal, which is to overthrow the national government in Georgia, bring about chaos, and drag this country into war, it is necessary to completely shut down the information space. Therefore, this resolution also represents a serious assault on freedom of speech, as Ms. Rasa is demanding that sanctions be imposed on Imedi, POSTV, and Rustavi 2”, she concluded.
